NEW PAINT LINE RESTRICTORS FINE TUNE APPLICATION

HOSCO, an Illinois Tool Works Company and manufacturer of paint and finish delivery system components, has introduced two new spray line/gun restrictors designed to provide greater control of paint and finish flow rates. Both new restrictors feature externally accessible flow adjustment that allows operators to fine tune spray gun flow rates to individual preferences…without having to remove the restrictor from the line. Therefore, adjustments can be made quickly and easily, requiring only a 3mm hex wrench to modify flow rates. In addition, both units are suitable for use in manual or automatic operations.

The two restrictors include the RIL-6-AJ designed for use with HOSCO’s patented Monoline coaxial circulating paint hose or in a dead end application, while the new RY-6-AJ model is “Y” configured for connection to conventional two-hose circulating systems. The restrictors are made of stainless steel, are lightweight, compact, economical and maintain constant pressure while replacing bulky gun regulators. The RY-6-AJ unit features a smooth, 0.350" diameter flow passage for fluid in and fluid return ports for minimal pressure drop. Each restrictor model is available with 3/8" NPS male connections (two on the RY unit) and one 3/8" NPS female fitting, or with BPS (British Pipe Standard) threads.

Besides the two new restrictors, HOSCO also manufactures seven other styles of restrictors and components for complete delivery systems including stainless steel specialty/standard fittings (angles, caps, couplings and adaptors), spray gun accessories (QD connects and stems), filters, swivels and extensions, patented teflon encapsulated ball valves (cavity-free ball seats), “H” assemblies, paint and air hose lines along with hose connectors, clips and spring guards, tees and manifold fittings, check valves, sweeps, bulkheads, strain reliefs and “Y” fittings. Virtually all of the HOSCO product line features the exclusive “cavity-free” design — components with a smooth, unrestricted bore throughout the line to deliver contaminate-free paint — along with the advantages of stainless steel construction and offerings in both fractional and true metric sizes, another exclusive, used to develop “from the paint room to the spray gun” circulating systems. HOSCO components and finishing systems are in use world-wide, backed by the company’s application expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and services including engineering and prototype manufacture.

All Hosco products are certified silicone-free, cleaned and ready for installation into paint systems.
